Our Work

The Department devotes its time conducting research and exploration into environmental issues along the coastline of Western Australia. Please find links to view our past projects below.

01

An Exploration of Cockburn Sound, presents a look into various marine environmental issues within the Sound. Exploring a range of underwater dive sites along the coastline, specifically areas in which the industry of Kwinana stretch into the ocean.

02

Documenting time spent underwater photographically, images are then translated into cyanotype prints and watercolour paintings. Cyanotype prints are a chemical printing process utilising ultraviolet rays from the sun. The frames in which these images are presented have been collected, in order to enhance the archival nature of the project and as such allow the project to exist as a remnant of the past, created in the present and drawing focus to the importance of the future of our oceans.
